Welcome .....
Walkovers Cricket Club, Jersey were formed at the start of the millennium by a group of College friends who wanted to play cricket more regularly and at a better level. The club has expanded over the years to provide members with two evening league sides, two indoor league sides and a great relationship with Sporting Club Francais which allows a clear pathway to weekend league cricket.
Constant expansion can often be problematic, however Walkovers CC are still as social as they ever have been careful to keep in place all their links with the past. A close knit group of players and friends, Walkovers are equally welcoming when it comes to new members of the club. To find out more about the club, please visit the about us section of this website.
Jersey Cricket
The standard of Jersey Cricket has improved dramatically over the past decade especially now that the Jersey Cricket Board are an associate member of the ICC. This raise in standard has in turn helped the club leagues and helped found the Channel Islands League which is made up from teams from both Jersey and Guernsey. This is the pinnacle of CI club cricket with 12 teams involved and below that are the Jersey Premier and First Division with 17 clubs in total. Under that there are 3 leagues of 8 teams that form the Evening League which is played Monday to Thursday throughout the summer. If you are a touring side, there is always a chance to mix and match our side dependant on your abilities. For further information on fixtures please contact the secretary with details on the ‘about us’ section of the website.
4Island Cricket Challenge Walkovers CC helped raise awareness for the disease Cystic Fibrosis on the 27th June 2009 by completing four games of Twenty20 cricket in just one day.
