Mark Le Roux 10

Date of Birth:
Profession: Sales Consultant
Nickname: Crane
Profile: Blessed with fantastic hand-eye co-ordination, Mark has the ability to be one of Walkovers most explosive players. Mark lit up the show and proved to team-mates and opponents alike what a great hitter of the ball he is, against St John’s in the very first season. Mark still has this ability to smash sixes and this makes him an invaluable member of the side. This was proved during Walkovers remarkable run to the JEP cup final in 2005. Mark swung the semi-final against Academicals back in Walkovers favour with a big six in the penultimate over to push victory closer. Mark scored his maiden 50 against Sloggers in 2004. In essence, if Mark plays well, Walkovers stand a great chance of victory. Mark’s work and other commitments have meant that his bowling has been a little neglected. Excellent in the first season, especially troubling batsman with his slower ball – Mark still has the ability to bowl well. This would be more evident should he work on confidence and line & length in the nets, after all his bowling average is still more than decent.
