We opened with Coley and Mitch to go with one big hitter and one nurdler . This was working in the opening overs as Coley got his eye very quickly and showed no fear about getting after the bowlers. Myself on the over hand was picking up the 1's and 2's which I've become renowned for.

We were 28 without loss after 3 overs and then Coley got a very quick one from Connorly arguably there best bowler. for a quick fire 22, just what the doctor ordered.... anymore runs and Coleys sore throat may of meant him losing his voice after all we know he likes to talk it up.

In stepped Ian, fosse's South African mate wearing an England shirt ala Kevin Pieterson, did we have another kp on our hands ? .........dot .....dot ......dot .....dot .........BANG 4 from no where a straight drive anyone would of been proud of. This KP impersonator had shown signs of blasting sloggers away.

I took a quick single only for Ian to miss the next ball. We are still looking for a KP I'm afraid but there's something to work with there.

Fosse came in and was looking to repeat what he did against mourants he did and got out , he now needs to remember to do the second last thing before he gets out which is hitting the runs part.

In came Coyne who set after the bowlers and hit a quick fire 16 and was brave enough to give himself out on a tight run out call , Spencer relaxing with a Cuban was unmoved with the sloggers appeal but coyne took it upon himself to call himself out especially knowing we still had batting to come all the way down.

In stepped the Polish Express took guard and tried pulling a quick one straight to midwicket OUT , out stepped the polish express but there was more to come from the Natural Stone worker.

In came Jake Patel who did his best to dot out a maiden only to charge the last ball and try and run me out in the madness sloggers throw at one end with no one backing up .........YESSSS was the cry from Jake this is a sign of a team player looking to demoralise the opposition by over throws , which worked a treat sloggers were everywhere.

As jakes work was done he gave his wicket leaving a straight one which took out leg stump.

In came Matt Cox who copied his captains example going straight at the bowlers like he can and was off and running , unfortunately this coincided with me failing to pull a bouncer and gloving to the keeper with both team in disbelief that there keeper had taken one. Jason Watts ' Hes useless that kid you should feel very aggrieved that he caught it , he was our 12th man , he should only ever be 12th man!'

We were still ok but only on target for say 115 120 , when Oli and Matt got together with some great hitting one great 4 timed off the bowling of Connorly we managed to get to 139 which against the league leaders was a great total.

Now to the bowling

Bowling in tandem were Spencer and hansie and they worked as a pair controlling the amazing amount of swing both were getting Hansie tucking them up for bed and Spencer turning off the lights.

Great team bowling which ended 8 over spell of 48 - 4 amazing , unlucky for hansie Spencer took all the wickets.

From then on it was quite comfortable with good fielding all round with a special mention to Matt Cox who must of had the brain as he took a aim and fired from a good distance away and run out one of there dangerous batsman.

Oly bowled well when sloggers were regrouping and did what the team needed , as did Chadders who was trying to tempt the batsman out of the crease to bring me into as wicky .

Coyne bowled well in his over with me taking a good catch to the right as keeper to dismiss Connorly who was nearing a 50 .

Wicky left paul fosse to bowl the last over with them needing 37 fosse new what he had to do and delivered 1-12 taking a wicket always keeps a smile on this cheeky chappy. After the match he was seen sprinting to the changing rooms to call everyone in his phone book , as he tried he hadn't bargained on his wife applying call barring on all numbers but hers.
