WAG’s Questions to Charlotte Gorin

What is your name and where do you come from? Charlotte Gorin, Jersey

So you were born in the island then? And in which Parish? Now live in St. Helier. (Not sure if you meant now or when I was born – I lived in St. Martin until I was 3.)

Any brothers/sisters, Cat’s or Dogs? 2 brothers. Karl is 26 (ex-cricketer, now too lazy!), Scott is 15 (tennis mad, no time for any other sport!). No pets (brothers and Kev are enough!!)

Ok so we assume you live in Jersey, where do you work and what is it like? I work at KPMG as an auditor, with Coley. Enough said.

Other than Cricket, obviously – what hobbies and interests do you have? Play netball for my work team. Taking pole dancing fitness classes with Kate (Mitchell’s girlfriend). Follow tennis (basically my younger brothers PA organising his tournament calendar) and an avid Man Utd fan (much to Kev’s disgust!!)

So which cricketer are you currently attached to, and what would you say your ‘status’ was? Am attached to Kevin James English of Cobblestones AKA Kev. Have been Kev’s girlfriend since March 2009.

Who did you first fall in love with, Walkovers CC or Kevin? Are they actually mutually exclusive?? I thought if I loved one I had to love the other.

How long have you been together? 7 months (as at October 2009)

Is there anything we should know about Kev that we don’t already? Although Kev said he did not like x-factor, I made him watch it and the one week I watched it on my own, he was annoyed with me coz he didn’t get to watch it.

Any embarrassing or annoying habits that Kev has? It’s only been 7 months…. Think he must still be hiding them from me or otherwise doesn’t have any.

So you must have been to some Walkovers events together. Which ones have been the best or stood out the most for you? Its hard to pick just one, because different ones stand out for different reasons, the main two are:
• WPL final at the rec – met nearly all Kev’s friends and family in one go! Crazy!
• 4island challenge – this was a really fun day getting to go to 3 of the islands and at the same time was for a great cause, which is obviously closely connected to Kev.

What is it like to be a Walkovers ‘WAG’ Well the only downside is having to watch and hear about cricket. However being a Walkovers WAG also involves attending the social events, which are good fun and a lot more entertaining than watching cricket!

Finally, could you explain to me what the umpire’s signal is for a wide ball? Arm’s outstretched (as if you are measuring someone’s wing-span) – I’m ashamed to say I have actually learnt a fair bit about cricket since going out with Kev.

Thank you!!
